This fortnight, the Nset blog dives into the 5 actions businesses need to undertake to ensure that they will be EUDR ready come December ✅
The EUDR is designed to curb Europe's contribution to global deforestation, aiming to save 32 million tonnes of CO2 annually. Achieving this will involve ensuring that commodities like soy, palm oil and timber entering the EU do not originate from deforested land after 2021.
The EUDR therefore mandates due diligence for companies to prove that their supply chains are deforestation-free. This will influence agricultural practices globally, accelerating a shift towards agroforestry and other sustainable approaches.
